I have hit the streets in the last few days, hand delivering invites and meeting people to interior designers, media and potential clients.
I know you all have been working hard to get things together and I appreciate your hard work. Hopefully, this will inspire you.....
First off, it turns out we made $2300 for CYDC through online sales and the donations of your paintings to their gala. We made $480 for the American College of Building Arts through our mask donations and to date we have made $455 for Carolina Studios. I think this is incredible and shows collectively what we can do. Amy Ware and staff at CYDC want to write a testimonial of your generosity.
Mark Bryan (Carolina Studios and Hootie member) has personally sent the invite out to his whole list.
Markus Amaker, editor of the ThursdayPost and Courier City Scene writes that...."this is such an awesome idea. I will definitley make your show (on the late side). It will definitely get coverage in next issue and online before that.
Nikki and Margaret from Skirt write that they won't miss it..
Stacy from Charleston Art Magazine says that she will stop by early to see what this is all about.
Margaret Donaldson (interior designer who bought Lynne's surfers) loves the idea, art and site and is giving me a list of 30 names (to start) that she thinks would love our site. Looking for larger paintings
Libba Osborne and Jackie Tyler from Leapfrog marketing have sent out our site to their clients and want to help us get some national press.
Lorrie Dixon whose marketing company has just escaped my mind, has posted CAC on several BLOGS.
If you have additional invites or special deliveries, let me know and I will take care of them.
