Happy January!

Happy New Year again! I know everyone is trying to get back on track. I am trying to find the track. Just wanted to touch base on a few things. February's theme is Mixed Media. I will let Cecile confirm the deadline for images, but I would think the deadline would be January 27. March's theme is Abstract Expressions.

If anyone is interested in donating a painting to the SOS benefit on January 21st, at the old Mint, pease let me know right away so that I can fill out the forms. They are expecting 300 people and the theme is black and white, so it could even be a charcoal or sketch. All the details on the event are at the bottom of this email!

Also want to remind those interested to get their applications in for Let there Be Art in Columbus!

We should meet soon to discuss what we want to accomplish this year between shows, prices, marketing, etc. How about Wednesday, January 18 at 12?

Share Our Suzy hosts the 4th Annual It's Black and White benefit on Saturday, January 21st from 7-11pm. Surrounded by breathtaking views of the Charleston harbor, the black tie event with a nautical spin will feature live musical entertainment by Atlanta's renowned party band, Yacht Rock Schooner, as well as amazing food by Granville's Catering, fun adult beverages and more! Guests will also have the opportunity to learn more about the needs of breast cancer patients, ways to assist and directly impact the lives of women battling the disease in the Charleston area.

SOS helps South Carolina breast cancer patients and their families by providing assistance to ease their journey from diagnosis to recovery. Unlike other breast cancer organizations, SOS bridges the financial gap for day to day expenses that insurance does not cover. Share Our Suzy was originally started as an effort to aid local photographer Suzy McGrane who ultimately lost her battle with cancer in 2005. While in remission Suzy took over SOS to help others with cancer. The SOS Foundation continues Suzy's mission to allow patients to focus solely on recovery and remission, not the financial stress brought on by this difficult battle.

Gracious sponsors make the event possible and include Roper St. Francis, RPWB, O'Brion's Pub, The Law Office of Mark Tanenbaum, Beachside Real Estate, Skipper Law Firm, Hibbits Insurance, Granville's, Patrick J. O'Neill Plastic Surgery, Charleston Endodontics, Lee, Eadon, Isgett, Popwell and Reardon, P.A., O'Brion's Pub & Grille, Force Protection, Eskimo Advertising, Charleston Artist Collective, and Eclectic Interior Design Group. Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available for the event.
