Hope everyone had a fabulous Memorial Day!
Congrats to Dee for a fabulous show on Thursday. Her image of Gold Marsh is everywhere...tshirts, the Post and Courier, of course the Piccolo brochure and the Spoleto catalog. She is in June's issue of Charleston Magazine and one of the editor's picks! Congrats!!
Congrats to Anne Parker and Lynne for being juried into the Piccolo Show at the Vistor's Center. The show open June 2.
I am excited to to announce a new member of the Collective. His name is Zach Collins and he goes to the College of Charleston and just won Best in Show at the College Salon de Refuse. We will be launching him this month and I think you all will love his work.
Cecile is busily working on June's paintings and we are on schedule for Wednesday. We sold 11 paintings this month. Cecile has been working on some site improvements such as changing the navigation bar, adding a news link and adding the archives.
Somehow I just realized that we need a charity for June. Thanks for your patience, I have had a super busy month....I am open to suggestions and know we have some suggestions on our list that I want to support. One charity that seems really appropriate with summer being here is Camp Happy Days. It is a local camp that was established for children in our area with pediatric cancer. It costs $700 to send one child to camp. It is free to the parents so they raise the money to be able to invite the children to attend while offering the family crisis assistance and money for meals and gas. I want to have the challenge to help raise enough money to send one child to camp... Let me know your thoughts.
I think it's a perfect charity for this month, Great idea! I'm excited to see Zach's work!
ReplyDeleteDee, Great works and so many! I loved them all, as I always do! xoxo
